Tan Jok Tin

Dr Tan Jok Tin has over 38 years of experience in leading businesses, in roles spanning executive management, innovation and product creation, manufacturing & supply chain, international collaboration and corporate governance. He has built and led teams through different phases of organic and inorganic growth, including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions in various industries/industry sectors, which include professional systems & infrastructural projects, telecommunication & data systems, defense & control, business electronics and consumer electronics.

Dr Tan is a Board Member and Independent Director of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, a China and Singapore government driven JV for developing a unique, vibrant and sustainable city to serve as a strategic development platform and model for economic transformation and upgrading in China. He had served on the boards of various listed and non-listed companies in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Russia and Turkey. In addition to his board duties, Dr Tan has also been CEO coach and Senior Adviser to SMEs, MNCs and China State-Owned enterprises. He is currently Chairman of Global Green Technology Centre, an international green technology research & development platform to promote development of green technologies and commercialization of technologically innovative solutions for environment governance and sustainability.

Dr Tan was Vice President and Regional CEO for Royal Philips Electronics for the Asia Pacific region. Through his 27-year career with the company, he managed many businesses in various functional and leadership roles, and often had to work across cultures while leading diverse teams in the everchanging business environment. After leaving Royal Philips, Dr Tan was appointed as CEO of Sang Fei Consumer Communications Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Electronics Corporation, and led the global business of this China state-owned enterprise for 10 years before returning to Singapore.
