Business Strategies for Asia

Asia, home to 60% of the world's population, has been growing faster than any other region in the world. It is rich in natural resources, and had some of the most advanced economies on earth for much of recorded history. Following the global financial crisis in 2008, Asia has taken on added significance as a growth driver for the world.

However, businesses have often struggled to understand and develop good strategies for breaking into and growing across Asia. Its wealth and potential varies widely across the region due to its vast size, and range of cultures, languages, government systems and business environments.

This intensive five-day program will provide participants with a strategic understanding of the major markets and industries in Asia – helping to devise effective business strategies to grow and expand across Asia. Special attention will be paid to the challenges of doing business in China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

In addition to highly interactive group discussions with participants who come from different continents, industries and companies, this program will also challenge your strategic thinking skills and help you to develop a better understanding of the cultural differences in Asia business.

NUS is home to some of the world's most respected faculty, who are focused on researching and developing strategic thought leadership in Asia. The program is taught in Singapore, a cosmopolitan gateway which is strategically located at the heart of Asia. It's extensive air and sea linkages enables businesses to access 2.8 billion people within a seven hour flight radius.
